The Logic software has the ability to decode a variety of protocols, including SPI, I2C, serial, 1-Wire, CAN, UNI/O, I2S/PCM, MP Mode, Manchester, Modbus, DMX-512, Parallel, JTAG, LIN, Atmel SWI, MDIO, SWD, LCD HD44780, BiSS C, HDLC, HDMI CEC, PS/2, USB 1.1, Midi (to create your own protocol, refer to Custom Protocol Analyzers).

Click the Add protocol analyzer button to bring up a menu of protocols to decode. Once added, the protocol can be displayed in binary, decimal, hexadecimal, or ASCII, and information is shown above each segment of data (e.g. byte) in the viewport as well as in the Decoded Protocols pane.

If you do not have a logic analyzer, you can analyze protocols with simulated data. Add one or more analyzers and click Start Simulation to generate simulation data for that protocol.

To learn more, see the Using Protocol Analyzers section of the User Guide.
